Proposal to Conference to sanction high speed train between Dholera-Ahmedabad.
In a virtual meeting with Central Ministers, Dholera Ahmedabad requested the Central Government for approval of the high-speed train. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has made a request to the Central Government for necessary approval for the Ahmedabad-Dholera Semi High-Speed Train Project. This request was made during the second meeting of the Virtual Participation Committee held on Tuesday in Delhi under the National Industrial Corridor Development Program.
It was informed that the Ahmedabad-Dholera Expressway project, being constructed by the National Highway Authority of India, has made progress of more than 38%. The Gujarat government will provide necessary assistance, including land acquisition, to complete this project within the time limit.
To connect Dholera with the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor, the Bhimnath-Dholera railway line project has been organized. This project has received approvals from the Central and State governments for the work from Ahmedabad Broad Gauge Railway Line to Bhingan Station of Dholera SIR. The finalization of land acquisition is underway.
Within the activation area of Dholera SIR, 600 units of affordable rental housing will be constructed under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. The Chief Minister also mentioned that the Dholera Airport project will be completed within the time limit with guidance from the Express Authority.
The meeting was attended by Union Ministers Nirmala Sitharaman and Piyush Goyal, along with the Chief Ministers and Industries Ministers of Haryana, Maharashtra, Karnataka, and Uttarakhand. CEO Harita Shukla of Dholera SIR and Chief Secretary’s Principal Secretary Kailash Nath were also present along with the Chief Minister in Gandhinagar.
