AHMEDABAD: as part of the vote on account Industry players rejoiced infrastructure development initiatives announced by state finance minister, Nitin Patel,budget, presented in the state assembly on Tuesday.
The state government has announced to set up a common effluent treatment plant (CETP), in addition to deep-sea pipeline and other related infrastructure in Ahmedabad, Vadodara and Jetpur through public private partnership (PPP). The government has announced an allocation of Rs 2,275 crore.
President of Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI), Jaimin Vasa, said, “The announcement to create and improve infrastructure facilities is a welcome step. Moreover, the government decision to set up the world’s biggest solar plant in Dholera, will also help promote use of non-conventional energy.”
Commenting on the decision, Shailesh Patwari, past president, GCCI, said, “The government has taken several steps that will help industries adopt environment-friendly practices. The demand for a deep-sea discharge pipeline was long-pending and it has finally been addressed by the government.”
