Gujarat government has Announce the state’s first monorail project between Ahmedabad and Dholera Special Investment Region (SIR).

The Gujarat government has sanctioned the draft project report (DPR) for the Rs 6,000 crore Mass Rapid Transit System (MRTS) project between Ahmedabad and Dholera, a planned smart industrial town.

The Gujarat government has ensure the consent for financial and technical assistance for the project under the Government of India’s DMIC (Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor) project. The project is likely to be completed in 24 to 36 months after the work starts.

“Route, ‘alignment, stations’ plan, and other technical and financial suggestions have got the approved from both the centre goverment and the gujarat government,” a source said.

The National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) has recognised tenders amounting to Rs 2,431 crore for three sections.

Sources Added that after getting approval from state and central government, JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency) added to rplling plan for DMIC project.

as per source land acquisition done for Ahmedabad-Dholera Expressway project of the National Highways Authority of India.The monorail will be parallel to express way.
